Studies in Early Phenomenology Volume 12

Nature and the cosmos mark central themes in Munich and Göttingen phenomenology. The contributions of this volume present various approaches of these natural-philosophical and cosmological research areas at the intersection of the ontology and cosmology that are newly articulating with them.
They question the work of Alexander Pfänder, Max Scheler, Moritz Geiger, Wilhelm Schapp, Edith Stein and especially Hedwig Conrad-Martius, but also include Husserl's point of view; they target the objections raised by his students and colleagues to his transcendental phenomenology, and a criticism formulated by Conrad-Martius is published here for the first time. In addition, a position is taken on the current currents of New Realism and trans- and posthumanism and a sociological questioning of quantum theory is undertaken.
